JasmineDesign has been working with Web Technologies for a number of years now, building websites and interactive forms and displays. But recently a number of new Cloud features have been made available from the main Cloud providers to change the way we think about solving common business problems.
We plan to try over time to cover some of the common tasks that a small business might have and how Cloud features can allow them to compete with much larger companies, whilst only paying for the service that they use without the need for capital to get started.

Here at JasmineDesign we are always ready to challenge the phrase "We have always done it this way" and ask if that is still the best way to solve that problem today.
One of the major problems is keeping up to date with all the services available across each Cloud provider and the different way problems are solved on each platform or the languages supported for each service.
We hope this site will allow us to share some of our findings from around the new era of Cloud Development services available today. Showing how they are able to save time and money in the push for faster "to market time" and achieve "more for less".
What is the Cloud?
The term "Cloud" is a modern term widely over used in the web industry but what does it really mean?
To us it means services that we can work with over the web or computer infrastructure which we can configure, like maybe a server or data storage from within my browser or using the Command Line Interface (CLI) and only pay for what we use not having to buy the hardware or software licenses first.
The Cloud speed is one of it greatest draws, new services are added all the time, software and the services are updated multi times a day without you having to worry about the security or software update releases for the services.
Another huge plus for us is that we can build a prototype sometimes in less that a hour and get real test data and interaction with the application to make sure it solves the problem that we are addressing and only pay a very little amount of money sometimes this might even be just a few pence or pounds.
